Since finishing university I have been keeping my skills sharp by creating multiple projects in Maya and Unity.
One project was to recreate this scene (shown below) , from Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away. I started by creating all the assets in Maya and then importing them to Unity.
I then added water with a cartoon shader to the bath tubs as well as the steam I made using a custom particle effect. Movement was added to the ducks using a script I developed, that utilised Sine Waves to give them smooth movement.
This is the final moving scene in Unity.
